Sorry I read over that bit about the auror academy's dueling chamber. Very good story really liked how you gave closure at the end

Crys replied:

Glad you enjoyed it.

And I really should read all the reviews before responding to any.   Previous one deleted.

Great fic! The calmness in the face of Snape's challenge was a nice touch at the end. There were so many twists and turns to the story, it truly was a good read.

Nice story. The good thing about not having all those side plots is that they can be distracting from the main parts of the story.

I what tied Moldie to this realm when the supposed AK bounced back at him? Shouldn't there be some sort of exorcism or soul banishment of Moldie?

Crys replied:

This story isn't HBP or  DH compatible.   Therefore, I'm going with:

One of Voldy's unspecified "dark rituals to grant him immortality" during his first rise saved his bacon, but it was a one-use thing.

The DP should have also mentioned the excellent teacher Dolores Umbitch also contributed to the children being so effective at casting a Patronus--clearly she and Severus deserve special commendations (and, I hope, Harry delivers these "commendations" in person).

Crys replied:

Even the DP people aren't that screamingly stupid.

Harry single-handedly got Umbitch thrown into Azkaban (chapter 36).   Harry owns the DP (chapter 37).

If you're being ironic (which I think you are), I'd have to say that Harry revenged himself upon both Umbitch and Snape pretty well anyway.

Does he trust Bumbles with his life? If so, he had best re-evaluate his attitude towards the lemon-addled, pedophilic, incompetent, senile, amoral, bastard with delusions of adequacy. Please, I know the story is complete and this is my third or forth reading, but in some story, take that stick out of Min butt and make her more humane to the children under her "care."

Fudge...as in "A Christmas Story" fudge. Just re-reading for the fourth time, or so.

I needed something to read and found this story, I do like the H/T pairings. but mostly like like Tonk because she us so much fun.

As funny as it may sound I have learned a lot from reading you A/U story. It has made me feel better about some of the changes that I have made to the store that I have been writing, which has been changed a lot for the canon.

I will be out reading a lot more in the next couple of days and weeks so I look forward to reading more of your stories while I am on a break

thank you for the story..

Crys replied:

I'm glad you enjoyed it.   And I'm also gratified that I could help you in some way with your own story.

BTW, I like the username.   'Course, I've enjoyed  almost everything by Pixar.

Poor Draco! I hope Lucius dies, painfully, and soon, for what he's done.

Crys replied:

There are fates far worse than death to be had for a proud aristocrat such as he.

If you need a plot bunny, you can use this one. Due to Harry's status as Lord-Baron Potter-Black, and Lord Gryffindor, he gets buried in marriage proposals/contracts.

Hey, just wanted to say, great story, I am enjoying it a lot, well written. As for the dementors flying or not, well in the third movie, harry defending sirius against the dementors by the lake (time turner) you see them coming down from the sky as well as during the quidditch match were harry faint in the air, they are up their with him. Again great story

Crys replied:

Yep, the movie dementors flew, no question of that.   But I don't know any book evidence that they fly, and to do the "corraling" thing, I went with the "they're land-bound" theory.

Thanks for reviewing and glad you're enjoying it.

So Harry has to convert Tonks aka Miss Havisham to the ranks of the groupies?

bookaholic_au posted a comment on Thursday 19th June 2008 8:53pm

I know that Laura is only 6, but most six year olds can spell the name they use for their mother.

In the commonwealth (Britian + colonies - America) the 'o' in mom, momma ect is an 'u'. PLEASE it is most distracting to have the characters speak with American accents in a British fanfic.
