very intriguing. As for Harry trusting too soon--that's just Harry for you. And this guy seemed familiar. Perhaps he recognized him on an intrinsic level

Well a full grown werewolf telling that little a and old a dog he is going to make a meal out of him could scare him enough to kill him alright. I do feel sorry for Marge at losing a beloved pet though. I feel sorry for Petunia as well. Her parents were apparently not good to her. It is sad.
