Love it! I truly do! Fawkes knows that Dumbles is going Dark if not already more than half way there. I do think that while Severus can stay in the castle he shouldn't teach. He should do research and be HoH.

Sounds like Hermione alright. But she does sound worried about Harry. Ginny doesn't. that is part of the reason I think Ginny still sees Harry as TBWL. You don't worry about a Hero only a human being.

Harry needs to calmly write Hermione a few facts. Tell her about the occlumency in code of course.

Most excellent! Harry needs to ask what his abilities are with regards to Hogwarts. Can he fire Binns? Snape? Etc? control the Wards? Remove the Headmaster? Control Points and Detentions? In general improve lessons and the Castle.

Harry also needs to write a condolence letter to Madame Bones about Susan telling her how much Harry liked her and how good she was in the DA.

Leave it to Albus to decide not to cover the Director's niece. Nice recovery. Harry needs to handle Molly and Hermione and in a much more permanent way. In other words show them their hero's feet of clay big time. That Occlumency thing would be a big start for Hermione and Ron.

Nice chapter. Hermione feels a little out of character though. I'd never imagine the canon Hermione "retaliating" like that, seems more like a hotblooded Weasley trait or something.

It looks like a nice and well written story so far, and I'm surprised it got so few reviews. One thing that sort of bugs me though, is how apparently spells are pretty much invisible ("because they move so fast") without the Mage Sight in your fic, although they are clearly described in the books (red jet of light = stupefy, green = Avada, and so on). I think that's pretty important because if they actually moved as fast as bullets, people wouldn't be able to dodge them in fights as they do.
