Well, that is some heavy irony, and one of the more recent cliches... good work. I especially liked the trap Ron fell into.

I absolutely loved this, and pray you give us a part 2 featuring the fall out from this. Brilliance in the extreme, as it's so rare to get original ideas these days

One word to this, my friend . . .

Whoa!

I enjoy a good boomerang of ill will.

This was a terrific short.

Crys replied:

"Reap what you sow"

". . . it be returned tri-fold" (Don't remember the exact phrasing, but that's the gist.)

Thanks for the kind words.

While this is obviously an OoC situation for all parties involved -- well, all but Harry and the Goblins -- it's exceptionally well-written and beautifully paced. You have a delightful way of twisting the situation to favor the accused, all while remaining within canon. Lovely, simply lovely.

It might be a dream....but a pretty good one at that!!!!!

Doesn't Hermione owe two life debts? I'm fairly sure in the book that he saved her (along with Sirius & himself) from being kissed by the dementors.

Wonder what she owes for both? :D

Interesting story.. Wouldn't mind finding out what happens next, but of course, it's not going to be continued is it. Oh well.

hehe, they're slaves. this is pretty good. Love those stories where all weasleys are idiots except forge

Haha, that's really amusing. And you had George sum it all up so nicely. :-)

Vaguely reminds me of a story where Harry goes to Gringotts and starts getting a whole bunch of girls because of inheritances and life debts (can't remember the name).

Crys replied:

I've seen that (what you describe) done a couple times, actually.   Don't remember the titles, either.

Thanks for the review.

This chapter is brilliant! I would love to see it fleshed out some more.

Mwahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Oh, that is so evil.

Harry being Harry, I think we can assume he will find _some_ way to give them back their freedom, at least. But it will probably be damn complicated, and by the time it's finished they will all have changed their minds anyway.

But, this being a dream... I guess we'll never find out how it comes out. Damn!

Killedbykarma posted a comment on Friday 21st November 2008 11:42am

Sounds like the kind of dream Harry would have post-Department of Mysteries.
Of course for that ending he'd have to had a good day before he went to bed. XD

May be a dream, but it's hilarious nonetheless.

This is why playing with laws that you don't fully understand is a very, very, very bad idea. I love the sheer irony of the whole thing.

And having Hermione and Ginny as slaves...hmmm, this might have some possibilities!

Crys replied:

I leave exactly what Harry does with a Hermione and Ginny (who have betrayed him and therefore he cannot reasonably think of them as friends)  who are  his personal slaves up to your imagination.

Try not to sprain your brain with that one, Eric :)

DarQuing posted a comment on Friday 21st November 2008 11:13am

Bwahahaha! That's what they get for trying to leave him. :P

They probably would've been better off just telling Harry they don't want to be his friend anymore. It would've been less traumatic. :P

Crys replied:

They're Gryffindors.   They have to go for the big, flashy methods ;)
