Evil Cliffie!!!!
Grrrr
Good to see an update :) Looking forward to see how Harry deals with the new situation, too.
But.
Will this story end? Not to sound whiny, but there's been a LOT of politics and very few action, and next to nothing of Voldemort. Now, he's got an army of released Death Eaters, prisoners, evil werewolves and whatever other creatures you want to add.
Harry has the DA, Aurors and such, plus the good werewolves, who, in the event of a battle, would help their employer.
Will such a battle take place? The way this story is going... I don't really see an end.
Chris
Crys replied:
Yes, this story will end. In fact, I think I'm 4 chapters (plus or minus one) from the end. I hope to have it completed before HP&tDH comes out, but no promises.

What an utterly fantastic chapter. Ordinarily I do not offer a review of an individual chapter as I must go back and read several chapters behind the chapter under review. I do feel that so of this chapter could do with a further explanation. For instance, An Owl notification to Harry summoning or inviting him to the board meeting would seem to be an appropriate way of allowing the reader to transition from the football game to the board meeting. If not an OWL notice the a statement by Harry to Tonks that the board meeting would be held whenever and that he was going to attend the meeting. Perhaps that could be added during an editing session. I know that I would require this of a student in one of my classes in English compostion when I was teaching. The way it is is too abrupt to be continuous to the flow of the story.

Wow, so much has been going on lately that I was completely surprised to see your update. And oh, how welcome it is!
Gotta love Remus. I can't even imagine what Harry is going to do to get even.
Can't say I wasn't shocked by how much Harry told D&S. Loose lips and such, it's not like Harry wants a war with DD as he knows they need to show a united front against Riddle.
And my vote goes in support of DD at the board meeting. Sure, he's had his problems and mistakes, but there's no doubting his power and intentions and in the end you have to wonder how long before Hogwarts is attacked if he's not there. And I think Harry knows all of that and won't let himself hold a grudge and end up compounding DD's past mistakes.
My big question of the week is who were the girls they discussed being co-HGs four years ago? Or did you just randomly select a number of years? And wouldn't that have been Percy's HB year? That's pretty sly taking that stab at Percy like that.
Thoroughly enjoying the story, can't wait until the next chapter.

PS - Thanks for the shout out. I was honoured considering how insignificant it was in comparison to all your work.
Crys replied:
No, 4 years wasn't a random number. You can read that to mean that there were two good boys and no good girls, or two good girls and no good boys to choose from.
I know I have my personal opinion, but that's just me :)
You're welcome for the bunny credit. Fact is, it WAS your bunny, so giving you credit is only fair, right?

Damm!! The Board of Govenors is raking Dumbledore over the hot coals. Then again, it all seems to be justified. I honestly think that Harry would be against sacking Dumbles, mainly due to the fact that the bias in favour of Snape aside, he is a good headmaster and as one of the most powerful wizards, an excellent safety measure and defense of the Castle should it be attacked. He has his blind spots, he refuses to change in that regard and refuses to leave Harry alone, but that doesnt take away from his skill as an administrator.
Great chapter!
Hopefuly, next, we will see Snape dragged over the coals as the daily prophet starts to do a review of his career as a teacher. Coming to the conclusion that he is a great potions master and an absolutely craptastic teacher.

Somehow, I don't think Dumbles will get the sack, although he no doubt deserves it.
A nice, mostly reflective chapter.

Several interesting ideas, I like the football game and Harry opening up to Dean and Seamus, though I hope they keep his trust and confidence. The board of governors meeting was exceptionally interesting, espeically Harry's support from Mr Brown. Overall a great chapter

Woot!!! i am just happy that Highbury got a mention....does this mean Harry is a gooner??
Crys replied:
He inherited stock the Arsenal team. So I suppose that he in fact is a gooner.

You evil evil cliff-hanger person you! How could you just leave it *there*? *wails*
Now that that's out of the way this is a wonderful chapter. I love the D and S walking in on H and T in...compromising positions and getting stunned.
Snape getting sacked? 'Bout damn time!
Dumbledore getting sacked? Now I have very conflicting feelings about that. Dumbledore is a good man and he's a person doing what he feels is best. Ignoring *everyones* advice about Snape is a stupid, *stupid* move but perhaps he had his reason, who am I to say. I also completely agree with all the points that Harry made (even though all of this is last chapter). On the other hand he his been a great...er...well maybe he does need to be sacked. I mean in the last...six? years he's completely let things go down hill. Harry's been attacked by Voldemort five times while at school (if you can in the one during the History OWL) and there have been two Voldemort supporters as teachers, a fraud, the Frog torturer, and *Snape*. If that's not indicative of a bad headmaster I don't know what is.
I like Shack being the DADA Professor. It's something I haven't seen before.
Good job on the story.
Cheers.

Very interesting. Many things that needed to be said, were. To bad Dumbles didn't figure Snape out on his own, years ago.
Thank you for the update.
More soon, please.

Wow, so the question comes right out. Now, what will our delightful Lord Gryffindor say in response?
BTW - I thought the answer about the two Head Girls was appropriate - they really DO need one male and one female for the reasons stated. Excellent thoughtings :)

OUTSTANDING CHAPTER!!!! I can't wait to see what happens in the next chapter. I love the very end of the chapter where they talk about sacking Dumbledore, pure genius on your part. Any chance they'll be a large scale attack and we can see some fighting and Harry, Tonks and Remus beating some scumbag Death Eaters and maybe embarrass poor moldiwart? DO keep up the outstanding work and update soon please:):):):)

Lovely to read a new chapter of this excellent and entertaining story.
Loved Remus sending the boys in to Harry and Tonks - just the thing an old Marauder would do.
Keep up the great job.

I expect that next both Dumbledore and Harry will be taken aback in the first instant of the next chapter, but the motion will not be supported. Harry in particular will be the one to shoot it down and the rest of the board will bow to his thoughts in this matter.
Just a point, maybe a correction; In CoS there were twelve members of the board, stated by Lucius, not including any role Dumbledore plays on the board. It's not a matter that will affect anything in the end, just a point of cannon.
I thought for a second that someone would suggest that Harry fill the role of HB for the next year, a position that he would have refused out of hand.
Thanks for the recognition for my off hand review comment.
Thank you for writing.

Crys replied:
Twelve? Urk. Okay, fixed. Thank you for pointing that out, Mike.
You're welcome for the bunny credit. But it WAS your bunny, so it's only fair.
