Hmm. I'd read the next chapter where he tries to get the ownership, plays the other guardians against each other and has a lot of angsty fun. I'd read the following one as well as i have no idea what would happen. Fun, though.
Thanks

That was excellent, and would make the basis of a kick-arse story, in your talented hands!

[Crys backs carefully away from the mad scientist reviewer.]   Erm . . . "Crysy-poo?"

The Dumbledore-has-everyone-in-his-pocket-scenario is not uncommon, but this is a fascinating new twist on the idea. In all of those Harry has at least had Hedwig on his side. Even that cannot be said in this plot.

Well written and developed.

*snorts* inelegantly.

I read this bunny thinking "now what thread did someone talk about Hedwig going human???"

Nice Bunny though...

What a fascinating piece. The amount of depth you put into Hedwig in such a short scene is amazing. It's a crying shame it's only a one-shot.

Talk about a manipulative Dumbledore!

Thanks for writing.

Crys replied:

Thanks for the kind words.   Glad you enjoyed

::starts humming the theme song from M*A*S*H*::

Talk about your rock and your hard place...

Crys replied:

*snort*   No kidding.   Poor kid.

For those who're lost, that tune is actually called "Suicide is Painless".

Harry apparently wakes up at the worst times!

Crys replied:

Doesn't he, though?

Very interesting little bunny there. I have to admit it caught me off guard when she identified herself. What an interesting turn of events. Taking a moment to read uberwald's post made it clear, at least to me, how that sort of idea would be hard to resist. Having seen a few variations on the theme of her becoming Harry's love interest in various ways, this one is about the best. On second thought, I would actually put it on a par with the one by Ishtar, which I can't recall the name of off-hand. Anyway, good go on this, my friend. It is always great to see a new piece of fanfiction from you.

Vern

Crys replied:

Yeah, this thing grabbed me by the throat when I read it.   And thank you for the compliment.   I'm in good company when compared to Ishtar, especially by another author I know and respect.

For those interested, the story by Ishtar that Vern is referring to is The One Who Always Loved Me.

*chuckle* Hmm, talk about an "interesting" choice; I'm not sure what I'd do and I'm rather older and more experienced than Harry is, here. It's certainly an intriguing twist on a number of concepts and a good read.

A very interesting manipulative!Dumbledore and pawn!Harry concept. I like your idea of an animagus Hedwig. The question is... is seducing Harry part of her orders? ;-)

Crys replied:

Personally, I can see it going either way.   I intentionally wrote it as ambiguously as possible so you get to decide the answer to that one.
