That was hilarious. I just found your fic today and as it was my day off, I decided to treat myself to a nice long fic. Ha. Anyway, good job, normally I don't like het fics. Unless it Harry/Luna...and Harry/Tonks has just joined the ranks...you het writers are converting me! Update soon, cheers!

Crys replied:

"you het writers are converting me!"

*laugh*   Well, slash isn't to my taste, but I'm glad that this unrepentant het writer is providing at least some entertainment for you!

xD Bob Alyxand. I love it. Clever!

Yes, I /am/ a silent reader. Most of the time. -sheepish cough- But you got me. I'm reviewing. Uhm. Great story. -blink- Typical, ain't it? Okay, lemme try again. I like the story lots. Can't say I'd normally read this particular pairing, having been a Harry-Ginny fan for quite some time, but I'm reasonably open-minded to any good stories, and you're pulling it off with skill I've seen only once before. Unintended flattery aside, the plot first struck me as... iffy, and I'm having trouble following the titles but I manage. Anywho. Back to the plot. First struck me as iffy, but I went with it and now I love it. ^^ Kudos for you, and keep up the good work.

Yes, I do rant often, and I apologize. ^^

Crys replied:

It's amazing.   I've had a LOT of people comment on Bob Alyxand.   Almost nobody's commented on the other "name" cameos.   Weird.

Well, welcome, silent reader, into the light!

Your comment that you've seen only one other story pulled off with my skill has me 1) embarrassed, 2) wondering if we're reading the same story, and 3) curious which story you're referring to.

So I finally get around to reviewing.....
Ron: I see that he has had a telegraph pole surgically implanted in his ass. I'm amazed that Lavender will put up with him. (not for much longer I think) His manners are attrocious, he is completely self interested and lazy. Lavender is bright (and politically/socially savvy) enough to know that someone like Ron as he is now, will have zero place in society. I think she will be dropping him soon because he refuses to grow up.

One thing I noticed, is a hufflepuff (Anthony) dating a Slytherin. Interestingly, the female slytherins seem to be the 'redeemable' or 'not evil' ones while the guys are evil *G*

I do hope harry did well enough to be invited to the next social event. *grins* We know Ron didnt. I like that Hermione wasnt invited. Without Harry to moderate her, she really wont have many friends. Her overbearing ways and arrogance (She knows whats best for Harry) really make her a distasteful person to spend time around. On the other hand, even though he was invited as Hannah's BF, Neville certainly seems more outgoing and more respected nowdays. Good for him!

Fun chapter, i'm looking foreward to seeing Ron having to be slaped down hard again because he is a twat.

Crys replied:

Yep, even Lavender's realizing he's a social liability.   This from a girl who spends inordinate amounts of time on her makeup.

Anthony Goldstein is a Ravenclaw, actually.   Not that it really matters for the conversation.

Fem Slytherins are "redeemable"?   One word: Pansy.
Male Slytherins are "evil"? One word: Blaise.

I started writing Scion before HBP, and so my Blaise (what little I've done and will do) is non-canon.   Even in the books, though, he's a self-centered "poser", but I don't recall him doing anything downright evil.

*laugh*   The next social event is the next chapter (whenever RL leaves me alone long enough to actually WRITE it . . .)   The adult Abbott Yule Ball.

I've always had a soft spot for Neville.   Witness what I did with him in "Different Timelines".   JKR has built   him to have a lot of potential.

Oh, very fun interlude! But what's up Ron's butt? Jealousy, jealousy, and more jealousy, of course, but what is it specifically this time? Will have to "stay tuned," I guess, eh?
Great job!

Argh! I really love this story and you go and release a short chapter ;)! Yes, it was another really good chapter and a blast to read, but come on - throw us readers a bone here!

Seriously, I really like your story and am always eager to see you update it. Please keep going, and thanks for sharing your efforts thus far!

I was surprised to "see" Ron at the party. You'd think he'd have mentioned going before if he'd been a regular participant.
"Sorry you couldn't come to the Burrow over the Christmas Holidays, Harry. We asked but Dumbledore said it wasn't safe. I did make it to the Abbot's for their annual Yule Party. Food was great but there were some Slytherin's there."
Nope. Ron being there just seemed very odd. The Weasley's, although purebloods, just aren't in the same social circles. He did show that prathood holds no time limits. Bloody hell. He got his name in the paper and a medal - what more does he want? Or was it being turned into a weasel that's got him ticked off now?

Crys replied:

Ah, but this is the first time he's been to the annual event.   He's there as Lavender's date.

Love those OC's..."Bob Alyxand". Hmmm.

Good chapter. I like Tonks and Harry moving their relationship to the acknowledged publicly phase. Tonks can take care of herself and the risk is hers to decide.

Man, Ron can be a prat.

Thanks for writing.

Mike.
Musings of Apathy.

Crys replied:

What, you'd rather an OC named Mike Musings? :)

Where's the action?! As in, the ACTION between Harry and Tonks *wink, wink.*
Good show, can't wait for the next one.

Crys replied:

Sorry, but this fic will remain rated Teen.

Now, what you do in your own imagination to fill in the blanks is your own business.

Christopher Estep posted a comment on Monday 20th March 2006 1:46pm for 31 - Yule Ball teen party

Hannah's Yule party is Coming Out Day for Harry and Tonks. UNfortunately, it's also the reappearance of MegaPRAT!Ron, who apparently has a problem with his best mate and the Sexy Auror dating. Tonks is very much leaving the impression that Harry is a demon in bed, which has the girls agog, and Ron nearly doing a spit-take. Harry apologizes to Parvati over his actions at the Yule Ball two years previous (which Parvati accepts), while Hannah's attempt to *roll* over Tonks triggers a food fight, which Harry uses as more training (he kept a shield up at all times; unfortunately for Padma, SHE wound up wearing most of what didn't hit Harry).

Great job, including the food fight and Harry's shield.

Crys replied:

Shield?   What shield?

[Silent and wandless] Deflecto.   Deflecto.   Deflecto.

It's good to see some more Harry and Tonks interaction, and coming forward with their relationship. It is also interesting to see a glimpse into the other teens views. What is up with Ron? Still ticked off from the Hogsheade meeting between Draco & Harry? And is Hermione left out in the cold all by her lonesome? Looking forward to the next chaper.
