Ch.27 - - I can't wait for your explanation of all of this at the Halloween Ball.
The descriptions of these various activities was brilliant.
My beta has held up Ch.8 for three weeks.

It was a nice touch to give Ginny plausible deniability in terms of the transformations, and seeing Snape digging himself a hole. There is a lot of debate about Snape having feelings for Lily. I don't suppose Harry could find an old journal or something where Lily rants about what a wanker Snape is, and her total disgust with him?

It would be quite funny if the person who played Lord Gryffindor was actually the ghost.

please let me know, if you do send out warnings, when the next chapter is up. It is an amazingly funny and well written story.

Harry was Merlin. Hedwig was Artimes... Tonks was Ravenclaw. Remus was Griffindor. Shack was Slythrin
Only reason I say Harry was Merlin is the power levels

Good chapter. My guesses
Merlin - Harry with Hedwig
Gryffindor - Himself
Ravenclaw - Tonks
Slytherin - Remus

My own guesses as to Who Was Who:
Ginny was obviously Helga Hufflepuff.
Salazar Slytherin - Harry (only the Sorting Hat knows THAT secret)
Godric - Himself
Merlin - Kingsley Shacklebolt
Rowena Ravenclaw - Tonks
They would expect Harry to show up dressed as Godric, but *not* as Salazar (despite his not only dating a Slytherin, but as Black patriarch, being Head of a House of traditional Slytherins; this would even catch Ron and Hermione by surprise, and they know better). Severus Snape, however, would have a heart attack.
Godric - He most certainly *planned* to skewer Albus for that permanent Trust-Me Charm as soon as Harry told him about it; as Albus as never met Godric, you can understand his confusion.
Merlin/Kingsley - Why Kingsley? He is the original Unflappable Auror. However, since running into Harry, he's been severely flapped.
Rowena/Tonks - Yes; Tonks is a metamorph. However, her bodytype is most like Rowena's real one, and, unlike Helga, there are *plenty* of portraits of Rowena Ravenclaw around.

Great story,
keep up the good work.
Opinions are like assholes.
Everyone has one - but some just smell worse than others.

Hmmm... My guess would be Harry as salazar, Remus as Godric, Ginny is obviously Helga, Tonks as Rowena, and Shacklebolt as Merlin (It was all the old jokes)

I would just like to say that this is a really good story. I just love the ones where Harry breaks away from Dumbledore. I can't wait to see the next few chapters that you write.

I had an idea about how to make Albus feel even more powerless. I know that you said that the three heads of house could outvote him on decisions but I have a more interesting idea.
Gryffindor was magically strong enough that even in death he can still do magic. What if the other founders were the same. I think it would be interesting if the founders portraits were able to store some of the ambient magic in Hogwarts to power themselves for certain things.
I.E. Snape enters the headmasters office and complains to dumbledore about the points. They find out what is going on and Dumbledore tries to rescend the order. The portrait of gryffindor uses some of the magic to make a ghost like image of itself in the room and he basically says that the foundere portraits had agreed on the new system and that their choice supersceded any the headmaster may make since it is their school.
Just a thought.
Great Ch.
