Scion of Gryffindor

good chapter
And here I thought it was a herd of rabbits. My only complaint is that the story is moving too fast. Need to slow and savor some of these moments. this chapter is particular has several moments that could have been more fully realized.
I'm starting to slightly dislike Harry, as I've always liked Dumbledore. Though, this Harry does point out very true tidbits. Harry can't quit, 'cause then he'll never see Ginny! What did he do to the points system, and what did he tell McGonagall about? What bunnies? Great chapter. Keep writing!
I am liking this story quite a bit so far. I only wish to make a few points. One, In this chapter I feel Harry's transition to an almost supremely self-assured character was pretty abrupt. I feel that Harry does have it in him to be like you presented but I also think that it would be a slower process. Of course this is just an IMO and should not be taken as any sort of flame. The only other thing I noticed is that a lot of your chapters seem to stop abruptly, making the flow of the story a bit jarring at times. Overall, however, this has been a wonderful story to read and I am enjoying what you have to share with us. Thanks.
wow, u really don't like dumbledore do ya? or hermione....u bring out their worst character flaws, but i suppose i don't care cuz they weren't my favourites!!!
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
Ch.13 - - I hate it when and Harry and Dumbledore don't get along, but this turn in their relationship is much more realisitic then the start of HBP.
I've done it differently in my sixth year, but still they have to resolve a good deal that has passed between them.
I like this a LOT!
I am in so much trouble! I have homework and I was planning on taking a break after this chapter!!!! And then you bring in Fudge....
Outstanding, looks like Fudge is about to get his....lol.
gunny
Loved Harry's indignation over Dumbledores not even fighting the Werewolf Act.
Does Harry have a seat on the Wizangomot. Maybe he could appoint someone else to sit it, as he is a little too busy for all the politics it would entail.
Thought Snape deserved more punishment. Harry promised not to go to the Board or Ministry about his behaviour but maybe if Dumbles doesn't keep his word about the intelliigence(which everyone knows
he won't) Harry could write some concerned letters to the parents of muggleborn and halfblood students, as well as some of the students who have already graduated. They are no longer at Hogwarts so
what do they have to loose by signing a petition against Snape.
Maybe if the Board sends someone to observe, Harry can have Snape set up, a few pranks against him and a run in with Peeves and his mood will be so foul their is no chance he won't act out against
some little Gryffindors(preferably first years as that just makes him look meaner and more of a bully)
Can't wait to see how Harry changed the House Point system.
Later
P.S. Have you thought of having Harry bug GP12. Maybe use some muggle electronic devices that Moody wouldn't recognize to keep track of the Order and gain proof that Dumbledore will break his
word.
WHAT???? Are you going to leave here??? NOT Fair...
I have enjoyed so far the ride, even though this Dumbledore is kind of hard for me to swallow. Keeping an open Mind here...
Thanks for sharing your story
Best Regards,
HPNana
Given the problems Harry is having with Dumbledork, I'm very surprised he didn't do anything about that compulsion spell. Could he just break it? Or is there a way of investigating it when he is
not in DD's presence? Either way, someone with so much influence should not be left under something like that. I find myself wondering if that is perhaps the reason DD has supported Snape so
vehemently all this time, and if it were broken, would Snape find himself summarily ejected from Hogwarts?
Excellent chapter, looking forward to the next.
More! You ended it just when it was getting good!
I'm impressed. Thank you, this is really good.
More soon, please.
I'm hoping that you will get rid of Ginny. There are some obvious hints that you are leaning towards her, which would not be indicative of the H/? idea.
Great chapter! You know it's a good story when it seems like no time passed at all when you get to the end, and your first reaction is to shout 'MORE!!!', because you just want to keep going. Good
stuff. Most enjoyable to see Harry assert himself and get a bit of power, viz the ring and his inheritance.
(Seems to me I've been reading a few anti-Dumbledore stories lately - this, Journeyman Potter, Sunset over Britain, Jeconais's WKGQ, etcetera. But it's always good fun to read a well-written piece
that doesn't stretch one's belief beyond the breaking point)
I'll have to pay more attention to your Yahoo group, I don't recall any of those bunnies. Mind you, I've got the last couple of digests sitting in my IN box unread, because I didn't want to have my
reading of this chapter spoilt.
Can't wait to see how Harry altered the points system; I suspect it'll kick in when Snape next tries to take points away from Gryffindor. But I don't know what rules he could institute that would
keep things fair and still give Snape the authority to deduct/award points in a balanced/justified manner, as befitting any teacher. Hmmm. Concensus? Needing two teachers' agreement?
Okay, I *insist* that Harry and Hermione make friends. Hermione *did* only commit her 'minor betrayal' because she thought it was in her best friend's interest. And Harry HAS changed (a lot!) from
the end of OotP, and he still hasn't - as far as I know - seen fit to tell her much of his changed circumstances. Maybe this is shaping up to be a significant minor plot of yours ... maybe when they
next meet there's going to be some more heated words, things escalating again, with Harry having now been told of her offence and given the nature of his last communique with her. But I still believe
that if he were to go 'logical' on her and explain things out, she - if she let her mind rule her emotions - would accept how things have changed and apologise. And he would accept her apology,
wanting to keep her friendship.
... please? You've got me slightly worried here.
Good chapter, eager for MORE!
This was pretty good, lots of neat dumbledork bashing which is always a plus. The only thing missing now is the required Ron and Hermione castration. :D
I remember a scene once where Harry absolutely ripped into Fudge and several aurors stood by laughing, with the exception of Dawlish I think. Here's to your next big scene!
It's a great chapter you've got here, and I particularly enjoyed the part with Dumbledore getting his from Harry. I'd have thought there was something more of Godric's, but that's really
inconsequential I guess.
I thought there should have been a bit more with McGonagall, but that's really up to you. Question on the parts of the focus though, doesn't Fawks's feather make it like Harry's old wand? Because
Voldemort's wand also has Fawks's feather?
Keep it up and update soon!
Harry's done something to the house points thing? I wonder if it has to do with Snape taking unjust points off of Gryffindors. Does Harry have control over Grimmauld? Harry could kick a few people out. Harry should bring Dumbledore to court for violating his parent's will and maybe Sirius's will as well. Will Harry send a Howler to Hermione at Opening Feast? Where would Harry go to finish his magical education? Fudgie' going to get his just desserts?

Fudge...as in "A Christmas Story" fudge. Just re-reading for the fourth time, or so.
